A letter sent or uploaded with Curriculum Vitae/resume when applying for job is called an application letter or a cover letter. It gives job seekers the opportunity to elaborate on work experience and relevant qualifications included in their CV/resume. A CV/resume is technical, while a cover letter leans into goals and can show passion and personality.
